Running Header
In-Text Citations
In APA formatted in-text citations, the general form includes the author's last name (or source name if there is no author); a comma, a singular space, and the year in which the source was published (or n.d. if there is no publication date); and finally, another comma, another space, and page number preceded by the abbreviation for page (p.) or paragraph number (for electronic sources) preceded by the abbreviation for paragraph (para.) [sometimes teachers will tell you to ignore this part]. For example, if you are citing a quote or paraphrased information an article written by John Doe on page 17 in a 2017 article, it will look something like this:
(Doe, 2017, p. 17)

References
Proper References are always done in Times New Roman font, 12 pt. size, and double spaced lining (unless your teacher states otherwise). There should also be one inch margins.
The header should always have a right justified "Page Number."
The first line should always have the words "References" in center alignment.
Each source actually USED in the paper should have its own citation and should be listed in alphabetical order by last name of the author or the source name if there is not author. These lines should be left justified with as a half inch hanging indent. A hanging indent basically means that the first line starts all the way to the left and the second line "hangs" half an inch to the right. The ruler in Microsoft Word should look like the following picture.
